About Us
Dr. Meilin Yang
Meilin is the owner and founder of Lumina Pelvic Health. She is a licensed physical therapist practicing in the Greater Seattle area with a focus on the pelvic floor.
Meilin’s interest in the pelvic floor stemmed from experiencing overactive bladder syndrome. She was told by multiple healthcare providers that she just has a small bladder - the size of a squirrel’s - and was prescribed medication to control urinary urgency and frequency. She felt hopeless until learning more about what the pelvic floor is all about and eventually with self treatment, overcame her symptoms and felt more equipped to take control of her own health. Now Meilin wants to help women feel empowered and prioritize their physical health.
Meilin is a native New Yorker, travel enthusiast, cookie baker, and plant and animal lover. Outside of work, you can find her cuddling with her baby girl, hiking, trying new foods, playing board games and sports, or cooking. She also enjoys spending some of her free time educating and raising awareness about pelvic health by teaching small workshops within the community, speaking at perinatal support groups, and at women's health conferences.

She encompasses a holistic approach that meets every individual’s needs. Pelvic floor dysfunction can be intertwined with psychological and emotional health.
Erica’s personal connection to pelvic health was shaped by the adversities of family and friends who have experienced symptoms, including incontinence and pain. She has seen firsthand how these conditions can deeply affect one’s quality of life, influencing not only physical well-being but also social relationships, work performance, and family dynamics. These experiences have further fueled her passion for helping others regain control over their bodies and improve their lives.
Erica was raised in San Jose, California, and moved to Seattle in 2019. In her spare time, she is passionate about culinary arts, travel, and exploration of the PNW with her spouse and Alaskan Malamute, and she values quality time with her family and friends.
