Why this page exists
Washington's My Health My Data Act treats information that could reveal something about your health, including pregnancy, as “consumer health data.” This policy explains the small amount of that data this website collects. It applies to luminapelvichealth.com and the tools on it. It does not cover care you receive in the clinic, which is protected by federal health privacy law and the notice of privacy practices you receive as a patient. Our general Privacy Policy covers everything else about the site.
What we collect and why
- Birth Plan Builder. Your answers about your health history and preferences stay in your browser and are never sent to us. When you download or print your plan, we collect your email address, your first name, your due date, and a record of the consent wording you clicked through. Your due date is reproductive health information, and the fact that you used a birth-planning tool implies you are expecting, so we treat all of it as consumer health data. We use it to deliver your plan and, with your consent, to send occasional emails timed to your pregnancy: tips for birth and postpartum, and news about our birth courses.
- Workshop and waitlist sign-ups. Your name and email, and the fact that you were interested in a pregnancy, postpartum, or pelvic health topic. We use it to hold your spot or let you know when something opens.
- Online courses. Your email and a record of which course you bought and which lessons you completed, so you can sign in and pick up where you left off.
Every item above comes directly from you. We do not buy data, infer it from other sources, or collect it from third parties.
Who handles it
We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not share it with advertisers, advertising platforms, or data brokers. A small number of service providers process it on our behalf under contracts that limit them to our instructions: Supabase (our database), Loops (our email provider), Stripe (course payments), and Vercel (our hosting provider). Google Analytics receives page views and clicks only, never your email or your Birth Plan Builder answers, and we have turned off Google Signals and ad personalization.
We do not use geofencing around any facility to collect data or send messages.
How long we keep it
We keep your email, first name, and due date until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Course purchase records are kept while you have access to the course and as long as tax and payment rules require. Birth Plan Builder answers are only on your device, and you can remove them by clearing your browser data or choosing “Start over” in the builder.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask whether we hold consumer health data about you and what it is.
- Ask who we have shared it with (currently, only the providers listed above).
- Withdraw your consent to emails by using the unsubscribe link in any email.
- Ask us to delete your data, including copies held by our service providers. We will do so within 45 days.
To make a request, contact us through the contact page and tell us the email address you used. We will confirm the request came from you before acting on it. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights. If we decline a request, we will tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to our response. If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact the Washington State Attorney General.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or how we use it, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above, and we will update the consent wording you see before we collect anything new.
